Not what i was expecting, but i like the build up before the chorus, talking about chorus, I think it needed something stronger, i mean, the song felt very plain, maybe it was because the use of the voice of the girls that felt as if only a person was singing it without any variation in the tones.
I didn't listen to them in a while, and I'm happy to know they're still making good music.
"Love line" moved me and was actually really good to listen to, so it gets: 8/10
"What if" gives me anime music vibes, which is not bad by the way, just, not something I would listen that much, so it gets: 7/10
chungha and her beautiful vocals slaying as always, but the song is not that good. I guess it's just something i would not listen because i want to, maybe it's more of a skip.
there's something interesting in the song, but it doesn't last, it's not a bad song, but there's nothing that makes me want to comeback and listen to it again.
uhm... what happened, why part of it sounds like a watered down "candy boy by Twice" ? in general, at least, not my cup of tea
I liked the song, but i feel like the chorus wasn't poweful enough...
Still, it's not that bad, so, it gets a 7/10
WARNING: Long review!
I listened first the pre release and ExtraL really had me very excited for this album while Love Hangover made me feel like it was going to be not my cup of tea, but... i was WRONG!
- "Intro : JANE with FKJ": great intro, calm. 6/10
- "like JENNIE" was great from the first listen, its just makes you feel like a rock star and so powerful, also, loved the rap in Korean which showed that for a song to be great, doesn't need to be fully in English ... read more
So... i was very excited about him coming back from the military and releasing new music but uh.. no.
The chorus and the voice tone was not right for me, also that "hey" felt very nct dream fetus music which is not something i expect from Kai. Hope that this style is just for this pre release and not an actual preview of what the album could be.
At first, I felt like it was a boring ass album except "come over" which I liked at the first listen. After listening the album few times I ended up liking "hot" enough to like it and loved "ash", so, I feel like it's an album that has only a great track (ash) a good one (come over) and a mid one that sadly is the title track (hot). So, this is my score:
- Born Fire: it's the intro, but it's not good enough 4/10, "burn the bridge" was way ... read more
