After a strong debut as a solo artist with his Look What You Made Me Do cover, and a long wait for his first original track, Phases, Brian Burkheiser was finally able to release the track. I initially did not like the song. The repetitiveness of the song just did not click for me. ...And Justice For All marked a turning point in Metallica. This is the first album without Cliff Burton, this album, although lacking on the bass mix, is very raw, aggressive, and fast. Justice is an amazing album, and is one I go back to often. Dyers Eve is one of my favorite Metallica songs, this whole album is just incredible.
Ride the Lightning is literally a perfect album. I can't express enough how much I love this album. The riffs, the solos, the lyrics, the bass-lines, the drumming even. Ride the Lightning changed my life.
My album of the year in 2025. Super solid album all around. It dives back into what I Prevail is known for with their shifting of genres in the album. This can be seen through the difference of songs like the transition of "God" to "Crimson & Clover." This album for me is perfect.
