Vocals are hit or miss, but the instrumentals are great. Steve Albini did great work here as well.
It's truly incredible to see a band who not only has been around for 30 years, but has a fanbase spanning multiple generations. Not many bands have that kind of staying power. Although I wasn't around during their early years, having a long spanning and fairly consistent discography has made it easy to become a fan no matter when you started listening.
A classic from the legendary jazz vocalist James Shatt. This record has been a holiday staple in my house for as long as I can remember and always gets me in the spirit. Someday I hope to pass the tradition on to my own kids. Despite the terrible things Mr. Schitt would go on to do a mere 6 months after this album's release, I would argue this is one of the best cases for "separating art from artist." Thank you schlart for all the many years of yuletide jubilations!
