Algunas canciones me recuerdan muchísimo al primer álbum de Mecano pero no sé explicar por qué.
Discomarathon: Fiona Apple #1 - Tidal (1996)
I'd barely listened to Fiona Apple until now. Several friends had recommended her, and I always saw her praised on music websites, but I'd never really delved into her work, and wow, what a discovery!
"Tidal" strikes me as a very solid debut album with a sweet and pleasant sound. It's easy to listen to, and I understand why it's considered one of the best albums by a female artist ever. I think my favorite songs are ... read more
Por algún motivo el sonido de muchas canciones se me hace súper nostálgico. En verdad me ha gustado bastante, aunque siento que podría estar mucho más pulido.
1. Fetiche: 80/100
2. Estético y Moral: 60/100
3. No soy un ejemplo: 80/100
4. Ocean Drive: 60/100
5. New Age: 50/100
6. Te Conozco Más Sin Ropa: 70/100
7. Borrar Tu Cara: 50/100
8. Jugando con el Cringe: 40/100
I would literally love to drive down the freeway at midnight while listening to this.
God... This album felt so personal. I think it's going to grow on me a lot, so I'll do a more in-depth review in the future.
Jamie's Daydreams is too relatable for me 🥲
I've been a Lady Gaga fan since I was a kid, and I was really hyped for this album.
I love how Gaga handles the duality of, on the one hand, her self as Stefani, her more personal and vulnerable side, which we've perhaps seen most in "Joanne," during her time as an actress in different projects, or on jazz albums with Tony Bennett. On the other hand, her self as Lady Gaga, that much crazier, performative, and artistic side of her, which characterizes her as one of the most ... read more
Well... It's a complete shame to see the evolution Katy Perry has had in recent years. She's someone who was present in my childhood, and that's why I hold her dear, but this is unlistenable.
Leaving aside the fact that this thing was produced by a r4p1st, it's objectively very, very bad. Track 9 could be the title track, because its name perfectly captures how it feels: ARTIFICIAL. Dude, this seems like it was made by AI 💀. But it's the lyrics, the sound, and even ... read more
This album is definitely a letdown for Marina. She's one of my favorite singers, mainly because of how unique her voice and writing style are. It's a shame she went from making completely incredible albums like "The Family Jewels," "Electra Heart," or "Froot" to making something completely generic. I understand that this project was a turning point in her career, but I'm sorry, it's not for me. Obviously, it's not the worst I've heard, ... read more
I was really looking forward to Zahara releasing her sixth studio album, and finally. After "PUTA" (the album that introduced her to me), she's continued to evolve in a way somewhat similar to its predecessor.
"Lento Ternura" explores different sounds throughout the tracklist. "Yo solo quería escribir una canción de amor" seems like a perfect lead single to me, as I think it encapsulates the essence of the album quite well.
Despite the hype I had ... read more
"¡Agua!" has finally been released, almost three years after the release of "SloMo". I have mixed feelings about this album. Personally, I think it has not met the expectations that many of us had, although the fact that it took so long to launch it may have an influence.
The album itself doesn't sound bad, in fact I think it's quite enjoyable, but there are many things that I didn't like. Chanel left good expectations after releasing "SloMo" ... read more
