I had high hopes for this album, but I was absolutely not expecting to be this blown away by it. I really wasn't crazy about this album at first, but the more I listen to it the more I like it. most of the songs are really strong. I do prefer the songs with more of a metal undertone, even if just with more metal-style guitar here and there (lachryma/satanized). however, there are plenty of examples where the 80s/arena rock/metal blend works REALLY well - I absolutely love de profundis borealis, peacefield, and UMBRA (my fave my girlie). hell, I even liked cenotaph. there's some ... read more
TWIGS IS BACK!!!!!!!! i love this album!! one or two songs are less enjoyable/feel a bit out of place (childlike things - i like the concept in theory but what is up with the over-inflected japanese accent, it is SO left-field). almost every other song is a banger tho. will probs listen again!
