The most tender and delicate voice ever recorded. This album is really important to me, it gives me the joy of a lifetime every time I give it a spin, Siffre's lyrics are truly remarkable achievements in themselves, he just creates these beautiful verses with such ease and seemingly so few words. There are songs where the innocent and the care in his voice is enough to fill choruses with some "la-la-la" or "da-la-la" that means more than a thousand words. Aside from the ... read more
Infectious (in a very good way)! This album shows that April's previous LP wasn't just a fluke and she is an extremely talented musican who understand electronic music so well, even being able to win over people like myself, who are not necessarily "educated" enough about this genre and its sub-genres. U is an improvement in every sense compared to her work in the past. I love the fact that in this project her singing chops have much more space to get shown, the extravagance ... read more
Such a cool project holy shit! In order to have a little undestanding of Blake's earlier work before I jump into listening to his most recent album, I decided to give this one a spin, and color me suprised, I enjoyed this very much. Usually music such as this, ambinent electronic songs that are repetitive and trimmed down to the max are not my thing. But my god, this LP is an absolute beauty. Mostly bittersweet songs where Blake is lamenting about his relationship, how things are going to ... read more
Krúbi látványosan elengedte magát és szerintem elmozdult a 6608XI projektjének iránya ... read more
Such a pleasent listen, many people pointed out the very obvious BCNR similarities and inspiration Ninush could have took from their latest record, which is genuinely one of the best compliments someone could get for their first project. Excited to see where is she headed in the future!
Vanisher, Horizon Scraper ends on the perfect note in my opinion as Casper (featuring Maruja) is the point the album builds up to its entire runtime, blowing up as a lethal death weapon, leaving nothing but ashes and the faint sounds of the ocean rumbling. As an addition to this already perfect ending, i.ii.iii feels unnecessary, however, in itself this EP is a soothing ambient three-song short journey, reminiscent to walking under the moonlight all alone, finding contempt in the stillness.
Sheesh, lonely teenagers are eating good with this one! Jokes aside, I don't think this is a bad album by any means, however, I was expecting much more variety and experimentation based on how many songs this 48 minutes long LP consists of. I cannot excatly figure out the reasoning behind putting this many interlude-esque tracks to the album and why not develop the similiar ideas into longer and frankly, more interesting songs. The topics Joji sings about are not very different from each ... read more
An album that perfectly suits the frosty days and nights of the winter gloominess. I think in this album the band excels at carrying out their ideas in the shorter songs like Sundance, In For A... Pound! or Night Owl, however the tracks surpassing the 5 minutes mark, are falling into a botomless spiral without any clear objective. There is a clear shift from the fascinating, math-rock influenced guitars and drums to a more conventional indie rock concept. This doesn't ruin the LP in its ... read more
January 2026 didn't exactly start well, but at least I got a small dose of windmill magic.
Kind of a let down as the album starts off promising with Canvas 11, a fantastic cavalcade of multiple guitars introducing us into an atmosphere reminiscent of a piece of fantasy. There are obvious highlights after that, songs like Speed Table and I See Poseurs Every Day, where the mix of different genres are interesting enough to make me forget about the singing, that frankly ruins most of the tracks for me. The echoing effect used here reminded me a bit of some Joy Divison tracks, but while ... read more
I'm actually very impressed and stunned how well the whole album sounds and constructed. It devours you completly with its repition, the same way a forest filled with enormous trees closes you. A meditative, relaxing album, that sometimes noisy and disrupting, yet still finding balance and harmony.

So I totally forgot to rate this back in January. I thought after EUSEXUA Afterglow came out this friday it was time to revisit FKA twigs previous LP again. Relaxing pop music mixed with electronic dance music, creating a unique mostly upbeat 40 minutes long LP, maybe after listening to the Afterglow I have a clearer picture of her. For now: it's good stuff.

If you haven't seen the film yet, and you'd try to guess how a movie called "The Smashing Machine" looks like, that is about the pro-MMA fighter, Mark Kerr's life, I don't think this is the film and soundtrack you would imagine at first glance. I don't mean to write a whole review here about the film itself (that is what letterboxd is for), but I just say this: it is not following the conventional standards that are used for biographical sport films in ... read more
Ah yes, this will be perfect material for my lonelycore playlist. Jokes aside, a really nice and dense EP, showing already a lot of potential, especially in the singing departement, probably the aspect I enjoyed the most while listening to this. I think after they can execute and extend some of their ideas a bit better, and also unpack the emotional core in their songs with more impactful, then we are in for a treat in the future.

It's astonishing that this band was able to put out another EP just 8 months after their debut EP, Plan 75. What is more suprising, is how different it sounds comparing to their previous work, so it doesn't feel like they just put some leftovers on this to fill the space. I'm not sure if this EP is more of an experimentation for finding their ideal stlye or if they choose to go down in the progressive rock path. Either way, they have my full support because this EP is just as ... read more
Honestly, I'm not a huge expert of music, especially not electronic music, but probably this is how I would describe the experience listening to this album: while the music Daft Punk has made is full of color and makes you wanna dance, move your whole body and mind to the rythm, this album on the other gives you the exactly opposite expression. By far the dullest, most joyless songs by Tame Impala is to be found on this album. I don't want to make a huge thing out of this, but I think ... read more
Not gonna lie, this album is on my constant rotaion ever since it dropped on Friday. I think they were able to surpass their debut LP with From the Pyre, with the songs, the lyrics feeling much more personal and the instrumentation more characteristic, unique. Honestly not much to say other than it is a very fun album, that for a few weeks more is going to be one of my go-to albums.
