Vince always been a different type of artist when we talking about lyrics, putting out interesting and real themes and after Dark Times that focused more on mental health, he is going full political on this one and im all here for this. Go check the video that gives much more context
I think that 10k as a label is becoming really stacked release after release, i didn’t expect Sideshow to hit this way, the 1 hr album obviously contains some misses but there’re a lot of gems on this one, the production is stacked and compared to other underground artists like Niontay and El Costeau, the Tigrayan artist here steps up from a lyrical point of view, getting out of the common themes of drugs and boastful lifestyles and going also into introspection, loved the interludes
Pure nostalgic track by james, that sample and that ending is incredible, could’ve developed more the middle part but its a stunning track, hyped for the album
Compared to Vanisher its obviously less polished, complex and studied but the raw energy and the emotion that Quadeca express on tracks like UNDER MY SKIN, DUSTCUTTER and WHAT’S IT TO HIM? are really unique and for what they mean to me, even a perfect production can’t surpass the intensity here.
I discovered Benjamin through Armand Hammer and woods and i feel that his voice is really good at surfing Segal’s production, i didn’t really click with some tracks here but SAME KIND OF LONELY is so powerful and it just sticked with me, i expect to hear more from the guy hoping with Segal’s production.
I’ve been surprised by this album, i mean we all know danny as an artist and he always been weird and different, but hearing this “calm” and more mature version of him hit me a lot.
Anyway i appriciated a lot this album because is fresh and smooth, obviously the hard and classic Danny doesn’t go fully away like we can see in “Dark Sword Angel”.
If this will be his final album, will be a sweet sweet ending
The mysterious Danny Brown is my favourite one and this beat is perfectly mysterious, great production and great track
Some pretty tracks but ruined unfortunately by some bad featurings, but in the end i appreciated the intentions of Laroi and he has the possibility to grow from here
