Very unique for a Mitski song. That Jazz vibe suits her voice so well. Always refreshing to see/hear her explore more at this stage of her career.
I really don't feel this album. The tracks are okay, but we're far from the usually inspired and original music by Robyn. Maybe the rest of the album will be more intersting.
People already overrating "Eusexua" are overrating even more "Afterglow". There are moments of glorious production and concepts in this album but overshadowed by underwhleming parts here and there. I think that this most souless Twigs album, the uninspired lyrics didn't help. This is still better than your average pop shit.

The title of the album was already a sign indicating this one would be a catastrophe, and she managed to prove it. The first three tracks are mid pop songs you've heard some parts here and there. Best single of this new album but still, it feels like a B-side of "The Slow Rush". I feel that he has an inspiration breakdown.
Just a random track from Twigs. Being weird and experimental doesn 't necessarily guarantee that the final product is that interesting.
Lyrically, the song is very solid. But production and songwriting wise, it's nothing exceptional and unfortunately, it doesn't go further.
It reminds a little bit of Bob Dylan's songs (of course, Dylan hasn't the voice of Florence).
It could have been better but it's still a good track. I can imagine that track has its place in the whole project but I don't see it as single.
