Honestly wanted to give it a better rating, and expected more from Peggy, but honestly didn't enjoy the songs in the middle that much. Still really good tho, lyricisim is crazy and out of pocket which is something you expect from him.
Shit's experimental for sure.
Edit: 73->63, second listen, bro it's just not good.
*The Recipe* for a perfect album: Jazz Rap, a powerful message and exquisite production and flows.
This is THE album. Grief in musical form, one that seems alive and dynamic. Through a cohesive list of 17 tracks, Ocean tell stories about his teen loves, and really puts you in these situations. Its context is the music, and the barrier between music and meaning becomes the listener.
Honestly, this shit is fire. And y'all, stop saying he's the second tyler, he is, we already know that.
u feel high listening to this.
