If were gonna talk about modern female artists, mitski would be an artist I would instantly think about, she has an awesome approach to music in a creative and retro way that has many similarities to 80's pop. Her style is unique and this album dives deep in her own sound in modern music. There is many tracks on here that has practically the same song structures as other iconic bands, like the opener Valentine, Texas which reminds me a lot of The Cure, Stay Soft has a vocal performance that shares similarities with Bjork, even musically it reminds me of ABBA or Blondie. I really would say that this album could be one of the most creative one's I've heard in the past year. Now this can also be a top 5 album of the year for me, yeah it's that good. Overall this album had a great lyrical standpoint and musical diversity from track on track that doesn't drag or bore in any moment of the album, so it makes it a great release by one of the artist of this moment.
