I think it is important to understand that Carti dug himself into a deep hole with MUSIC from the beginning. This is, of course, entirely his fault however. With constant delays, lying, pump-fakes and manufactured hype around its release over the course of 5 YEARS, Carti has conditioned us to expect more than we ever have from him before, and in the process, ... read more

Going to have to sit on this one. A few songs compelled me, others not so much. Some interesting emotional moments, possibly more moving to those who can relate closer (absent-father childhood, fatherhood, self-reinvention). As expected, production was excellent. What confuses me on first listen is the concept of Chromakopia -- although the first track gives the impression of a heavily thematic, central ... read more
only the mother of all midlife crisis's could prompt someone to make an album like this. it is so fucking bad that you stop and wonder "is he taking the piss?", then realise he is not and marvel at the mental state of corey feldman. i love this album like i love the maury show - i can laugh at the insanity of people like corey, but in the comfort of my own home behind locked doors.
boring, uninspired production, ass mixing, and deliveries that sound like the personification of a bar of xanax - not to mention the terrible fucking lines, especially that one "how could I be anti-semetic, I just fucked a Jewish bitch". dolla $ign had the one alright performance on this track, but even then, it was nothing special. can't wait to see the tiktok kanye meatriders (comprised of 15 year old white boys) hyping this shit up as if it is the best song ever created, because I ... read more
yet another sleeper from Drake.
"Feel like I'm bi, 'cause you're one of the guys, girl"

I had no idea what I was walking into with this album, and I still don't really know what I walked out of. Production is dense, intricate and (sometimes eerily) surrealistic, with the varied flows and sections of songs making me feel like I'm listening to music that walks the line between consciousness and a heavy, drug-induced coma. Dark, dystopian, surrealistic with complex subject matter to match - a must listen at least once.
Edit: 75 -> 85: The addition of Doves, an incredible track ... read more
Tyler, The Creator delivers a formidable album to bring Wolf/Cherry Bomb fans and Flower Boy/Igor fans together - resulting in an infectious, varied-pace album sprinkled with luxury travel and materialistic spending to fill the void created by heartbreak.
A touching last reflection of Mac Miller, brilliantly produced and released with evident compassion in respect to his memory. There are moments where you may cry, moments you may smile, but in the end, listeners are left feeling optimistic that the spirit of Mac Miller lives on, and even in a Blue World like our own, there is hope for the future.
worst shit I have ever heard, corey feldman's "angelic 2 the core" provides more joy than this album.
if we're talking about dream, then my dream is to wipe this from the face of the earth.
Frank Ocean presents a conflicting, emotionally jarring album that may challenge some at first with its unique, stripped-back production, and proprietary, unpredictable song structures. Many may find themselves overwhelmed amidst Ocean's sometimes pitched and/or heavily autotuned vocals that accompany the (mostly) drumless track list, with the album's twists, turns, and conflicting sound/message delivery making it hard to grasp fully on initial listens. However, once this disorientation wears ... read more
