My review is probably baised because of the emotions and some nostalgia.
osu! has formed my musical taste. I found out about this album because of this one rhythm game and it changed my musical taste forever. I almost instantly fell in love with this album's songs when I first discovered them 4 or 5 years ago. IIRC my first song that I heard was A Moment Suspended In Time. I wouldn't say it's a bad album. It's just a little bit different compared to all of what Underoath had before.
Songs sound more heavier because of the lower frequencies guitar. It's more "devil-ish" and "metal-ish" with default Underoath vocals. Don't know how to explain it all but it all sounds pretty heavy but at the same time.. light at some moments. it's not stereotypical devil sound by the way. it's just their own similar vibes.
