Knowing the context of the title track: "Solid Air, the title track, was dedicated to a friend of Martyn's, Nick Drake, who would die of an antidepressant overdose 18 months after the album was released." really adds to the overall feeling of this album. It is very mellow, supportive but still very sad song.
The rest of the album really feels like it was made by somebody close to Nick Drake. It's not the same but you definitely hear that these guys were on the same wavelength. "Solid Air" & "Don't Wanna Know" are the standout tracks for me which feel almost bluesy with how much sadness is placed on the vocals. I would listen to this again! 8.5/10.
