The lyrical content is direct in stark contrast to the narrative driven poetry her last few works contained. It’s clear she wanted to pivot from her recent records. However, it’s still bears Taylor’s stamp; It’s full of literary & historical references and her autobiographical writing. The songs are less hit-or-miss than usual, with many of them riding the track of being “just fine” , the production is very different from all of her previous pop albums. ... read more
It’s quirky, it’s different, it’s unapologetically her and truly raw. This album is a perfect realization of the live of a socially awkward person.
It’s impressive how he managed to follow up his lifeless radio-friendly pop rock record with one with even less personality and soul. The lyrics are horendous all throughout the album and the album sounds like it was made to be broadcasted and forced down our throats.
It’s shocking how she managed to make an album with cringe worthy lyrics on every song. The nursery rhymes were also horrible. But the rest of the melodies and the production was decent.
It was a bit short but i loved it. it was like charli and 90s madonna had a baby. The charli nachos seemed to be a bit burned and bland tho in contrast to madonna's which were crunchy, cheesy and well seasoned. a great project overall.
A collection of unfinished, uninspired rushed demos. A song usually tries to be interesting in one of 4 ways: musically, vocally, lyrically or melodically. If a song is great it will excel in multiple of these areas, but Charli chose a 5th option, for 90% of the runtime of this album she went with neither (or possible a failed attempt at an intriguing melody??) this was a whole bunch of nothing.
Cwtai? Was by far the best one but the whole EP was so cuteeee (75/100)
The album sounded like a compilation of unfinished demos, but there was a clear vision and some and it was cohesive. You know you're mediocre when the highlights on your album are a gracie abrams verse and a charliXCX vault track. Its a cute 4/10
Crushed my expectations tbh, because the music I do know of her isn’t nearly as good. It had some great melodies and very catchy songs the lyrics were good I liked it.
I know these are all covers but she rly did turn them all into Phoebe bridgers songs. It was melancholic and beautiful.
wow. Gorgeous, emotional, dramatic. It was everything the last album was and so much more
Kinda reminds me of her first album, rly loved the production and the lyrics too. I know these are supposed to be the b-sides but I kinda prefer them over the OG album ðŸ˜
The covers were interesting some better than others and the original songs had good lyrics but the production was kinda lacking tbh
