I'm here to have fun and holy shit am I having fun.
as is expected of a Vylet project, the production is absolutely immaculate. This is album for the die-hards, I would not recommend it for anyone trying to get into her music. It really is here to be some sort of release between two of her biggest releases so-far. It seems that most of the people who don't like this album have either some bias against hip-hop or are taking this album way too seriously. I mean its utterly ridiculous ... read more
there is something about screamed barely audible lyrics over frantic distorted chaotic electronic beats that meshes well with my brain.
I don't know what I expected.
Because what I got pretty well reflected the cover.
Very much in the vain of Renard, LapFox, and generally, em essex's more dance oriented work, the kinds of albums with such covers bursting with color and life.
I've had a passing knowledge of this album, recommended to me a couple times by algorithms some time late last year, I'm not sure why (other than it recognizing that I am a furry). I saw the success that r u s s e l b u c k was having ... read more
Bungle is why I don't care how scattershot an album is in it's sonic content.
When it comes to electronic music I tend to take more enjoyment in electronica, trance and classic progressive house. However I was following this album's creation on patreon and I knew that this album would be a complete and utter left turn from Monarch (which got me in to Vylet's music) I may not fully jam with it but an artist actively messing with people makes me very happy. Its the same thing that Mr. Bungle does and that has conditioned me to like whatever direction an artist ... read more
All of these Iconic works of sampling: Donuts, Since I Left You, Metaphorical Music, etc.
They're here because of this.
I do not listen to this type of music normally.
'tis very bad, and Vylet admits that.
I never liked artists like Skrillex so I expected to hate this, and I did. At least Seductive Turtle was vaguely funny.
The only time I ever enjoy music even vaguely like this is like Camellia who I think I only like because I used to play osu!
This album blends all of my favorite genres perfectly, how could I not give it a 100?
I first found this album on the front page of AOTY. I saw the artwork and immediately became excited as I am a furry, it took me a while to figure out what was going on with the art however. When I saw the genre tags on the album I immediately knew that I should at least give the album a shot. I love all the genres listed here and if the album combined them well, I knew I would love it.
Much of the hate this ... read more
This album is easily one of the weirdest albums of all time, and I love it. Even though none of their albums are my favorite of all time, Mr. Bungle is my favorite band of all time. The beauty and serenity of Sweet Charity give way to the chaos of None of Them Knew They Were Robots. Amazing track transitions all around for this album. It keeps your attention throughout the whole thing.
The best guitar work the band has ever had (courtesy of Trey Spruance) and the most variety they've ever had on an album, too. I feel this set the sound that a lot of bands would copy going forward. This is my favorite album of all time, there are no boring tracks here.
