I need clubs around my area to play at least some of these tracks because this is pretty great.
Some songs I don't like and sometimes the (intentionally?) shoddy production doesn't work but when it works, it surpirisingly does it well. Pretty neat bedroom pop EP with some post rock influences and wishing her the best luck with her career.
First Lupe album I've listened to in full and it's automatically AOTY. My only complaint is that it should've been longer, a complaint rarely have with an album. From Lupe being a fantastic rapper to the concept of this being an Amy Winehouse battle rap album, to the Samurai Champloo / Afro Samurai vibe to basically every little thing about this is just great.
Is this the album of the year (for me)? No.
Is this Peggy's best album? Also no.
Does him collabing with Yitler still has a bad taste in my mouth? Yeah.
But I still absolutely enjoyed this album and I'm glad it finally came out.
