Can't let r/emo mods know I fw this
Discovering the Waterfront is one of those gateway albums into emotional post-hardcore, not doing much to innovate, just making the genre accessible to the general public and doing it well. Most of the album plays it really safe, especially with the placement and frequency of screamed vocals, but when it hits, it really hits.
