As a huge Daft Punk fan, I feel pretty upset making this review, but no one artist can really have a perfect discography.
This whole thing feels rushed ngl, I mean Discovery feels like it was carefully produced and tweaked to make it as fun as possible. Whereas this just throws some obscure noises at you. Yes there are good songs like Robot Rock, but the rest feels very lackluster in comparison.
Sampha's entry for 2023 is brilliant, plain and simple
The bar he set following his 2017 LP 'Process' elevated my expectations coming into it, and I'm happy to report that they met my expectations.
While you could argue Process is better, you shouldn't discredit this album whatsoever, songs like Dancing Circles, Evidence, and Suspended were on repeat for a while, and the rest of the tracks are great too, this album doesn't feel lacking at all.
