Oh Stevie before I know it I'm losing you fr. A great solo debut away from the pop-y Easybeats' lead vocalist into the rockier sound of the 70s. Absolutely smashing album so if you're reading this looking for the nowadays hidden gems of the 70s I definitely recommend this album and if you're an Easybeats fan look out for the Harry Vanda/George Young sound on tracks 1, 6-9 as they're their writings :P. RIP Stevie and George you were the goats.
Fave tracks; Life Gets Better, Evie (the trilogy), ... read more
Otonablue's good but let's not sleep on this. Every single track on this album is phenomenal (in one way or another) even though I only roughly understand what koi geba is about from the mv as I don't know japanese 😓. All girls have insane vocals and they share the spot of vocalist so well, this is especially notable on their more recent works but not to be overlooked here. You'd think that for a dance group it'd be hard to find enjoyment in songs of theirs without the visual aspect of their ... read more
Boogie-woogie, freaky deaky, these guys do it alright. An album closing down the 70s in the right way before letting the 80s take way. Underrated piece of music, I like it. The bass is fun in near every single track and though the lyrics go a little bit of 2 ways; "girl you thrill me", "[insert names of dances]" well, they're the usual of their kind but it's just so groovy I can't really care. Not like I dislike Land of a 1000 Dances or Silly Love Songs anyways. Just the ... read more
Good stuff but I find myself forgetting most tracks as they're mostly similar. I've got most of these songs on a playlist and they're never a skip, but Wonderful and Smooth Operator are the biggest standouts. Very mid 70s, very Colin.
Stfu about led zeppelin already 😭 people act like led zep didn't copy and do it worse 🤞
Excluding DGS (Great Ace Attorney) this soundtrack blasts the rest of the series' osts, both working so well with the game and also just super enjoyable for the day to day things. Nearly every track slaps only ones I dislike are the painstaking repeats of the same track but like, a little different. Works alright in game but even then the fucking Perceive/Cross-Examination/+Allegro track u know it's just crazy how they milked it I might be the only one tired of it lol. As always, LOVE LOVE ... read more
This one does such a good job at being a rock opera, there's not one song on here that I can say I dislike nudge nudge Tommy. Quite a big step from my 3rd fave My Generation which shows these guys know how to move on from being mod icons to yk still being mod icons but like a lot cooler. No like every song on this album either slaps or has a great effect on it that I would miss if it wasn't there. These guys are all geniuses I'm so glad this shit exists.
The good songs on this EP do so much for me but I think Your Voice and Tea & Biscuits are rather forgettable compared to the other 3 tracks. They're still alright, but the rest is awesome so.
Still, great great great stuff for a 15 year old and bro keeps cooking great for him!!!
Took so many listens to actually positively enjoy this album, especially as a fan of his other stuff.
Experimental Declan takes time getting used to but overall when you're ready for it this stuff actually bangs and the only songs I didn't really like were Sympathy and 4 more years, that last one I didn't feel like was really necessary to the album, and it kinda felt like it was only there to add that last second of dialogue idk desperate attempt to make it quirky or something. ... read more
