the production and vocals and mixing are so amazing…however, the lyrics were very lackluster and the whole album had a generic feeling to it. it just didn’t connect with me at all. edit: i don’t know what i was on, there are still 2 songs that are a standout dislike but how this album intertwines with the production & other songs is very beautiful and i really enjoyed it after some relistens.

her best work! the production, the lyrics- all part of an emotional and beautifully curated storytelling experience that’s filled with connections for fans of poetry and Swift’s own past work.
