The music speaks for itself really. Is there an album with more standout hard-hitting riffs?
Big improvement from A Great Chaos! I like the first 2/3rds of the album, but it kinda devolves from there. I love most of the beats, but unfortunately most of Kens vocal performances are mid at best, and the vfx really don't help with that. Also the mixing is so shit in some places, it really doesn't help his case.
Idk how I haven't rated this earlier since it's one of my favourite projects of all time... Death is a terrifying thing and this album captures the concept perfectly.
Here comes the black moon is one of the best slow shoegaze-esque albums of all time.
Everyone who has any glass beach album as a profile picture on twitter is the most annoying person ever, but Glass Beach makes good music
Wow. I mean just wow. This album has is all. Great folk instrumentals mixed with fantastic sludgy yet harsh riffs that grind you down. Combine that with great lyricism and fantastic vocals, and to get this masterpiece of an album. I can comfortably say that Alt and Prog Metal is my favourite genre but this combination of Folk and Death Metal is my favourite Metal album ever made. I'm surprised it hasn't gained more popularity considering it's quality, but I suppose that's ... read more
It's just mid. Long, repetitive, boring. 5 years for like 10 good songs, at least some of the beats hit hard.
Don't know how I didn't get around to listening to this until recently, some of my favourite grunge and alt metal shit ever.
Extremely interesting psych metal/rock with tribal influences.
Death metal & deathcore aren't my favourite genres of metal, but this project is fairly decent and I'm sure any avid fan of death metal would love this album
Very solid modern metal album. Good blast beats, great vocals and amazing melodic guitars. I really love the STYG melodies and I wish they played into it more. My favourite tracks where keep playing flowers and eats me up because of their melodic parts. There's some weaker parts where I think the mixing could be better for the lower guitar parts, but otherwise an extremely solid metal album, would recommend any avid metal fan this album
This is the best atmosphere any album has ever pulled off. Such good tones, such good beats, amazing vocals and delivery, I could talk about this all day. Moral of the story: this shit is my favourite album ever and Parousia is the best experimental song to ever grace this earth
This album is the most generic shit and the times ye tries to do anything different he fails miserably
Not my style. Ken Carson just yaps every song. This is the type of music you would play at a party but it even fails at that. His vocals DO NOT match the aggressive, bass heavy instrumentals. Beyond that, every fucking song is the same. Like at some point in the listening experience it just became contest on which instrumental was the best. Even then, most of the beats are terrible.
Honestly, I don't get the hate for this album. Consistent, heavy metal riffs, all the songs are bangers, no clue why people hate on it.
Rav's best work by far. Every song speaks to me in ways that nobody could imagine. Prosthetic Self-Love was my highlight but songs like Me? Never., Channel F and Dead End are all favorites as well. While I don't think the album works as a story, every song follow's a similar theme and god damn has each track grown on me with time.
