Scratches the same itches as Mauvais Œil did (Its also the first french project I heard)
Being brazilian and not knowing french means I will probably never get this as well as I should. Regardless, french rap sounds way fresher and more interesting than american and british rap. This project rly sold the dark and heavy sound I was searching for after running out of Racionais/Facção Central material to listen to.
Penguin with shotgun album cover is very nice
The lyrics on the second half of Brown Shoes dont make it sound very familiar, its almost like I see it on the news every few weeks
Cool, but VERY frontloaded, and its not all it was hyped up to be by that one review. The first track is kinda lackluster, 16 minutes filled with generic synphonic prog from the 70s, stuff u can find genesis, O terço, and some other bands doing way before Guruh Gipsy came out. The second track is where the album starts to get good, and it is where the indonesian aspects of the music starts showing, not much more to say tho.
Skipping to the 4th track, where the second half starts, the ... read more
listening to this with translated lyrics was a very good decision. Pls, spend time with this album, read the lyrics, search for their meaning, look at pictures of what Max Collini is talking about. Its amazing, and I can confidently say it sits comfortably in the second place of my favorite albums of all time, at least for now.
ngl, I love this as much as I love any other album I have given a 100 rating, this rocks
I AM ABOUT TO HIT THE SECOND TOWER, AND I AM FAKELISTING THIS ALSO. NO ONE KNOWS I HAVENT HEARD THIS
I AM FAKELISTING THIS ÁLBUM, I HAVE NOT HEARD THIS ALBUM, I AM FAKELISTING IT, I am going igoy mode...
A little Incosistent, some tracks stand out a lot, while some feel kinda lackluster, or even bad sometimes. Cuide Mais do Seu Jardim, Dia a Dia, Tarde de Mais, Efeito Colateral, Eu e Eu and Simples Assim (the best on the album) are worth checking out. It was a nice listen, but with the ammount of skips, I rather listen to sepparate tracks than to return to the album.
This could just be perfect, if it weren't for zoom, I dislike zoom
