wow. just wow. before this, all i've heard of lorde was royals and the part of man of the year that was on tiktok. i came with no expectations, and honestly when i started my first listen it didnt really hit for me. i think it was around current affairs where it really clicked how personal this album is. this is easily an album riddled with just raw emotion, you can almost put yourself in lordes shoes. its beautiful really! i haven't felt so emotionally moved by an album since albums like idmthy or hmhas, albums that i consider my favorites. and i see this becoming one of my favorites in the future. the only thing that kinda brings it down for me is the production/delivery on some tracks, but the lyrics are like flawless all throughout. really its such a beautiful experience. my ratings changed by as much as 10 points because i was so much more immersed in the album after the first listen. i highly recommend this album, especially if youre looking for a more emotional record. phenomenal.
