this is easily one of my favorite albums as of the past year or two. morning forever is a name ive never heard before scouring spotify for low-listener artists, and this album was one of the most surprising experiences i've come across in music. every track has a distant ambiance to it, with a mix of calm and almost piercing guitar throughout! the album loops with the starting and concluding tracks being instrumentals, and the first track transitioning into the second. this is an album you can go on a walk to, study to, lay down and stargaze to. its a perfect musical atmosphere of distant instruments and vocals mixed with some melancholic lyrics.
bodies is one of if not my current favorite song of all time. i dont know what it is, but the guitar and the drums in this song almost speak out themselves, with the song having a theme of a strangers body not making a home. donut shop features the band members ordering donuts which i think is pretty cool judging how good the song is, but also features lyrics like “don’t really want a donut, my stomachs full but my head is not, just some food for thought” adding to the very personal feel the album gives. miss my mind is a depressing song lyric wise, but almost masks this with the familiar guitar sonically. people tend to say they lose themselves after losing someone they love, and this song sticks out to me because i think the song portrays this feeling perfectly. they miss their mind the most out of all the things theyve lost.
overall: pretty great!
