Whooooo wanna rock with JENNIE? I know I do after listening to this album. Y’all. This album is just vibes. On repeat since March 3rd.
JENNIE is an artist that I never held to a high regard, because she was part of BLACKPINK. We all know BP is one of the most infamous K-pop groups of all time. I just don’t really find myself connecting with K-pop. Because I heard “Mantra”, “Love Hangover” & “ExtraL” though, I most definitely was seated for this album. And I was instantly blown away.
From the extremely infectious “like JENNIE” to the flow of “Handlebars (ft. Dua Lipa)”, I was impressed with this as a debut album. Easily the best album from all of the BLACKPINK member’s solo ventures.
Speaking of, the features. They were stacked for sure. Only issue with this album is that the end drops off in quality a bit, but it’s not a huge deal. Instantly one of the most unexpected albums that I’ve liked this year.
