I will admit, the humour took its sweet time to land for me. I really could not get into some of them, but after some time I warmed up to it and started to love it.
One thing that’s very specific which I liked, is in the track Is There Anybody Out There?, they reuse instrumentation from Meddle, specifically Echoes, which I think is the best Pink Floyd song. That was really appreciated, and as a general statement the band sounds great here.
In the first couple minutes of the album, I wasn’t crazy about the vocals, but that changed as time went on, just like with the humour.
Much unlike this review, I thought the album was very coherent, and the idea was pretty easy to follow. The end has a lot of loose ends tied up, and is very satisfying. Really happy with this album, though I don’t think it’s their best.
