Pink Floyd - The Wall

I will admit, the humour took its sweet time to land for me. I really could not get into some of them, but after some time I warmed up to it and started to love it.

One thing that’s very specific which I liked, is in the track Is There Anybody Out There?, they reuse instrumentation from Meddle, specifically Echoes, which I think is the best Pink Floyd song. That was really appreciated, and as a general statement the band sounds great here.

In the first couple minutes of the album, I wasn’t crazy about the vocals, but that changed as time went on, just like with the humour.

Much unlike this review, I thought the album was very coherent, and the idea was pretty easy to follow. The end has a lot of loose ends tied up, and is very satisfying. Really happy with this album, though I don’t think it’s their best.

My favourites are:
Another Brick In the Wall, Pt. 3
Hey You
Is There Anybody Out There?
Comfortably Numb
Run Like Hell
The Trial

I’m guessing your not British (if u are then my explanation is kinda pointless) but a lot of non-British people find it hard to get the dry and extremely sarcastic humour that is furthermore dressed in layers of irony of British humour so if ur not British then it takes a while to know what is a joke and what is serious.
