Ariana delivers some of her most vulnerable tracks on this pointed breakup album. Powerful themes of empowerment and honest reflection are present throughout. As usual, her vocals shine and are accompanied by killer production from Max Martin and ILYA. Despite this, some tracks haven’t stuck with me as strongly as the rest of her catalog. Still, it’s a fun listen with a great closing moment.
Favorite Track: the boy is mine
Theatrical, dramatic and heavy. Great guest vocal features. A few beautiful transitions from stage play to post-hardcore. An aptly named final album from SYSC.
Favorite Track: Lubricant Like Kerosene
Panic! brings an infectious, naive energy to their incredibly ambitious debut. 𝘈 𝘍𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘊𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘚𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘖𝘶𝘵 plays like a stream-of-consciousness barrage. The album’s concepts and influences come from every direction, sometimes leading to missteps, but more often than not they help deliver the most exciting music of its era. Any quirks present here are forgiven by pure emo and pop-punk fun.

Equally as dystopian as it is nostalgic, 𝘐𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘬 delivers in every way. I can't say enough great things. Also an incredible live experience. Mica, Matt, Nick and Myles absolutely killed it. My favorite album 💿
Favorite Track: That's My Floor
𝘜 is immediate, catchy, and has been on repeat since my first listen. Underscore’s production is unmatched here, as she delivers some of the most exciting, accessible electropop I’ve heard. Easily an early contender for pop album of the year.
