It’s not perfect, some of the writing could maybe use a little work and songs like bawling and hit and run can get a tiny bit repetitive, but I can’t fault it because it’s so damn endearing and there’s emotion dripping from every single word and chord. I didn't really fw this album as much as I'd hoped, and the whole situation with Airo leaving the group after kinda just soured it even more. I mean, there are definitely some highlights—The Lodge is a fantastic intro with an absolutely killer beat, Viridian has a great hook and sample that make it an amazing addition to the group's ongoing Pokémon city series, and One Year From Now serves as a phenomenal closer, ending with what are easily the best two verses on the entire album. ... read more
