First side is a bit too subtle for me, second disk is really solid though.
I doubt anyone has dedicated over four hours to this behemoth of an experience. The material here ranges from really good to phenomenal, although the second disk is my personal favourite. All fantastic, interesting takes on older tracks from the 77 era.
A surprisingly calm, quiet record from this group. Not what I expected or their best but a very pleasant and enjoyable record, even if the centrepiece track feels overlong in comparison with the rest of the material.
Interesting mix of post punk and drone, not their best but certainly worth checking out.
An insanely unpredictable and versatile release, very entertaining with tension and energy brilliantly contrasting throughout.
It's decent industrial dance music, nothing super memorable though, lacks some direction but it sounds fun in general.
I'm more than willing to admit I might not have got it, but this genuinley nearly sent me to sleep.
It's grown on me a little, Pinnochio Story is easily the highlight. Other tracks like Paranoid and Heartless are decent, but some of the songs here are just straight up bad. Not the worst thing in Ye's discography thanks to JIK but I'm not a fan of this either. Ambitious but msiguided.
More abrasive and fragmented than Strangers From The Universe, but a fantastic follow up with plenty of creativity and variety.
Intentionally unpleasant to listen to. There'll be some people who might dig the ambience of this, but personally this isn't really what I want out of noise music. Oozes edgy 15 year old vibes, perhaps in 1990 it would've been edgy but not by today's standards.
A much heavier approach than on other records, but another fantastically creative, beautiful recording, with a mix of slow, anti-ballad passages and beefheart-like rushes of manic sound. Another amazing, fun record.
The fact that the only thing people seem to like about this album is the "Chick Fil-A" line (which made me want to delete Yeezus off of my phone) shows there is absolutely no reason for me to come back to this shit record
Proof that Merzbow is a fantastic collaborator even if his solo career is kinda average. Sometimes is amazing
Gloomy, wacky, bizzare and unpredictable, a fantastic example of noise rock.
This album is, as is much of Royal Trux’s discography, quite fun, but sadly it doesn’t capture the magic of their best records. Creative, interesting but inconsistent.
Didn't have a good time with this but this was not what i was expecting given my previous experiences with this group, could definitely see my score going up
In short bursts the material here is very fun. A lot of creativity and variety on display. But sitting down with this material for an hour really isn't all too rewarding.
