Aggressive aggressive aggressive.
But it has the melodies and the pacing to match the relentless nature of it, so it doesn't just turn into angry noise.
The kind of music that makes you wanna punch through walls.
Lyrics are incomprehensible, but who gives a fuck?
Maybe the production could be a bit more crisp, but again, I don't give a fuck!
This is peak metal, damn I guess I like emoviolence now
This is like a cheese platter: It has a little bit of everything you could want for everyone.
Nu Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal, Electronic, even Progressive Metal at points, and of course Y2K emo
You could pick any single track on this album and it could probably appeal to your tastes.
In fact I would recommend this as a first time listen to someone who isn't familiar with new metal

YIKES!!
An excellent blend of classic and modern nu metal sounds
Some solid riffs and industrial moments, reminds me of Nine Inch Nails and Slipknot at points, and that's a really great thing. The pacing is insanely good, as for an album that's nearly an hour long it fells like it took 20 minutes, and left me wanting more.
Can't really think of anything that's wrong with this album tbh. Inn terms of execution it's perfect. It's only not getting higher because ... read more
This was nearly an hour of anguished screaming and heavy guitar that was pretty aimless.
I understand the type of tone they're going for with this one, but I just can't in good faith say that it's worth listening to by the vast majority of metal fans. The pacing ranges from flat out BAD to just being all over the place. There's an element of unpredictability to it which can be appealing to those who like to hear unpredictable music, but for me it felt a bit of a chore to ... read more
Some of the best guitar shredding, almost invokes the thrashy speed of Ripper Owens era Judas Priest, and I mean that in the best way possible.
Lyrics are strong and the pacing is practically flawless. If you told me this album came out in 1989 or 1991 I would believe you.
And only 11 minutes? It's over too quickly, wish there was more meat on the bones
Def gonna check out their other albums, and you should totally listen to this awesome album.
Now this is what I'm on about, this single takes everything they've learned from bloodonyourhands and fixes many of their minor issues; the melody is more consistent, they aren't afraid to go heavier and shed harder, and the balance in pacing with the acoustic guitars is on point.
I feel like Delilah hasn't reached their peak yet so this single is a sign of them heading in the right direction towards their summit.
Extremely solid an consistent deathcore.
Short and simple without any excess fat, it doesn't drag and it doesn't overplay itself, in fact it could have gone a bit harder on some of the tracks honestly. The contrast between the acoustic gutiar melodies and the strong thrashy shredding of the lyrics and the big guitars was a masterclass in pacing.
A fantastic listen, well worth your time.
I can't tell if this is a good album or not.
On one hand, the songs switch through a lot of different styles and the composition is very well done, the vocalist is talented, and the fact each of these songs are extremely short means that there's no fat or
On the other, the lyrics and the actual music itself is just so random and unpredictable that it merges into a ton of gibberish and random sounds as if they're trying to break their instruments and microphone, so it gets ... read more
Solid production and heavy riffs, very solid industrial metal.
Has a bit too much angst to really relate to the lyrical content for me, but their emotional weight and the vocalist's sheer aggression and relentlessness in signing them means that they take center stage and grabs your attention, and for that I respect them immensely, I hope the vocalist didn't hurt their cords singing these tracks, especially because 40+ minutes of this album becomes an exhausting marathon, with not much ... read more
Still really good, but not as good as They're Only Chasing Safety. That's fine though cos this is still a great album.
Lyrics are solid and mature, the composition is still good, guitar work is still good, some tracks just don't quite reach the emo post-hardcore vibes of their previous album but are still solid, I think the middle mainly just drags too much.

One of the best post-hardcore albums I've ever heard in my life. I thought Alexionfire's debut self titled album was pretty damn good already, but this is on a whole 'nother level of amazing melodies, shredding, riffs, and yelling, whilst standing out on its own as being very screamy and emo in an excellent way.
I genuinely can't say anything that bad about it without being endlessly nitpicky, I don't know what those mainstream reviewers are smoking but they can eat my ... read more
What a mixed bag of an album, has some extreme highs and extreme lows.
Some tracks are insanely good and feel like the soundtrack to Quake 2 or Unreal Tournament 99, the collabs with YUNGBLUD, Babymetal, and the Nova Twins were fucking awesome.
However other songs are extremely ANGSTY and off-putting to someone more optimistic like me that almost made me want to stop listening.
That said, even the "bad" tracks have redeeming elements about them, and despite the lows I did want to ... read more
Extremely solid progressive metalcore, keeps the melodic tone throughout all of the albums, I really appreciate the near-perfect pacing between all of these songs.
The way each song flows into the next one is as smooth as butter, and whilst relentless, never gets exhausting, so you stay hyped and energized to bang your head in a low-key way.
Vocals have a great range of roaring shouts and melodic singing that never feels too much or too tryhardy.
Guitar work is some of the most solid ... read more
After listening to Alexisonfire's debut, I was pretty sure nothing could top that album's pace, melody, and raw energy.
And then I listened to this.
I genuinely cannot believe this is as good as it is.
Melodies are flawless, Lyrics and Vocals are flawless, Metal is not too heavy, not too limp wristed, it's the perfect balance of shredding for this type of music, and the electronic elements just make the experience even better.

Great melody and hardcore guitar work, as a solid mix of melodic tunes and crunchy raw metal. Vocals are great too, perfectly balances aggressive shouting with melodic signing with great tone range, and the Emo elements to the lyrics only add to the atmosphere of this album.
It's just a phenomenal listen, and despite how unrelenting the music pace is, it never gets exhausting, it's super catchy in a way that a lot of albums I've ... read more
All of these thoughts runnin' through my head
Arm on fire, veins burnin' red
Frustration is gettin' bigger
Bang, bang, bang, pull my Devil Trigger!!
Great music all around, so many of these themes rock and the ambient music is great too.
Solid industrial metal
Just as good as the others, a little more ambient in places, but I love how characters now have proper themes for themselves now.
Honestly might be my fav game in the series, and you're all wrong about Nero: He doesn't just rock in DMC5 he rocks in this too. Not just biased in saying that cos he's my fav character. His theme rocks in both games, and Dante gets some great stuff too.
Great game, great soundtrack
The game that saved the series, and probably the greatest soundtrack out of all of the games. The tone, the funk, and the industrial heavy metal goes so well with the baddass action on screen that you never get tired of hearing them during your relentless boss battles and exploration during this awesome game. Devils Never Cry, Taste the Blood, and Divine Hate especially rock hard.
Play these games!
Even though this game is flawed, the actual music itself isn't bad, it's just used incorrectly a lot of the time.
Fire Away in particular is used so commonly it turns into music.
DMC2 needs a remake to fix a few things and gas up Lucia as the best female protag in the series.
The music compliments the game very well, even tho some tracks can get a bit grating at points with how difficult this game is at times.
Psycho Siren in particular stands out because of how urgent it sounds, as everything else in the game is very techno and dark and moody.
Excellent game and Excellent soundtrack
