Definitely a great start for the band and a great demo compared to many others, however I believe that it's understandably weak in their full catalog.
To start, unlike most Black Metal demos, this is very polished and produced well, and isn't far off from what they're known for nowadays. I really enjoy the sounds of the instruments, and George's vocals are great here as well. Riffs are kinda standard Blackgaze, but I have no complaints. A demo like this doesn't need ... read more
While to many, it's nothing more than ambience, but for me and others, it's a beautiful yet heartbreaking reminder of what we had. I think one of the comments on Bandcamp sums it up the best. "Like looking at pictures of a long dead relationship and holding back the tears but also trying to remember anything."
Soundwise, it's None without the Black Metal, just ambience and the cold atmosphere. I've always believed that None projects have amazing ambience, and ... read more
After a few years of silence, they release what's essentially a double-album much different from their previous. The traditional aspects of Black Metal ... read more
While the other albums are more progressive and melancholic, this is raw and apocalyptic. The riffs and vocals on this album are absolutely horrifying, and while the vocal mixing is more muddy compared to their next works, I think it fits the hellish atmosphere this album has. Even though they one-upped this in the future, it's still an amazing album. While I adore DSBM mixed with Atmoblack, I love raw and aggressive DSBM just as much, and this scratches that itch almost perfectly. I ... read more
Wanted to give a 2026 release a try, and the album cover intrigued me. I really enjoyed the riffs and drums. Riffs are fast-paced and melodic, and the drums have a tone that I dig. Vocals don't sound like anything too crazy for me, but I still enjoyed them. The production was definitely different at first, but it's to be expected with Raw Black Metal. I got used to it by the second listen, and I think it adds to the sound very well. I don't think this is anything too crazy, but ... read more
