Just rating the Iron Chic songs as that is all I have.
This album gets better and better the more I listen to it. Never has a single album expanded my musical tastes so much. This is a modern day masterpiece.
This is an album that you really have to listen to several times before you start to appreciate it. Please don't rate it on first or second go-around. This is a great record, but the funny part is, it isn't their best, by far. Still, the song writing is great.
Notable Songs: "I Wish I Was Sober", "Woke Up Hurting", "An Otherwise Disappointing Life", "Break", "Lump Street".
By far the worst Josh Ritter album to date. I hope nobody hears this for the first time and assumes this is what JR sounds like. Pick up Hello Starling, Beast in it's Tracks, Animal Years, and Golden Age of Radio... and all his others actually. Leave this one on the shelf.
This album is quite a step backwards from his 2013 Southeastern album, but as a stand-alone album, it is still very good. Not a weak song on this album. It just has a very large shadow to crawl out of. His 2013 album was one of the best albums of the last 10 years.
