Quadeca - SCRAPYARD

revolutionary. lifechanging. different. everything. this album is one i will glaze for many years to come. scrapyard was my introduction to quadeca (specifically way too many friends) and what a warm welcome it was. this album has banger after banger after banger. it explores so many different paths of music and expanded my palette to a degree beyond most other albums. it will likely sit in my top 5 favorite albums for a longgggg time.

its hard not to put every song as a highlight, but here ... read more

Astrid Sonne - Great Doubt

i had “give my all” in a few playlists for a couple months now. i just now decided to give the full album a listen. this album feels so unique to me in its production and i love it. hints of dean blunt scattered throughout, paired with stringy, atmospheric, almost medieval sounding instruments, reminiscent of c418’s volume alpha and bobby krlic’s score of midsommar at times. however, the album is still unlike anything ive ever heard before. each track tells a different ... read more

glaive - May It Never Falter
92

not much to say except this album is beautiful. the start of a new era of glaive and i love it more now than i did when it released.

highlights: for god and country, ik, live & direct, “knock, draw, release”, freudian, by birthright

Healy - Subluxe

underrated summer album. nostalgic, hometowny, and raw. each song feels full of love and life. like this one a lot.

highlights:
reckless
build
slalom
no vacation / outside
look like god
unwind

lowlights:
butternut - felt a little too slow and empty, i understand the point of the song, but not my favorite listen.

John Michel - Egotrip
82

such a fresh album. the production is next level. the samples are unique. each song has its own distinctive features. the album has such clear direction and purpose. even the interludes are amazing and relistenable. easily one of the best hip hop albums to come out of the 2020s. amazing work and i hope it gets the recognition it deserves.

highlights:
dont save me
preacher
the keys (interlude pt 1)
nobody
worlds end

lowlights:

Jane Remover - Revengeseekerz

actually insane to listen to, and a relistenable album for sure. loved most if not all the songs on this.

glaive - a bit of a mad one

closest to a perfect album i think ill ever see. ive always been such a huge fan of glaive, and this is easily my favorite work of his. it could be better, only by there being more of it.
