Huge improvement from the debut, developing some of its ideas while making it more fun and interesting.
They're on path to become another big name of today's british indie wave.
The autotune really ruins it, otherwise it would be a really ok song
but the dropoff from TNA is huge
It was a very fun first listen, not many flops here and some songs, while definitely not being huge hits, are Rocky encapsulated and after 8 years, that's more than enough for me. However, don't think it has much replay value which is a shame.
A big psychedelic, multi-genre, indie album should be the next try for Rocky because some sounds here definitely deserve more exploring.
Room for improvement and much more room to grow sonically I think but still, they're up there in the list of bands to pay attention to in the near future.
Debut of the year?
It's fresh, jovial and loads of fun. Nothing revolutional, sure and it still has a strong taint of its influences all over it (Strokes, the 1975, even LCD Soundsystem?) - but they've set themselves well as a band to watch in a very near future
THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
This Is The World (I Made It For You) might be the best love song ever, i dont know
Para sempre um dos melhores álbuns de todos os tempos.
Obrigado Bituca, Obrigado Lô ❤️
Black Market, Country Farmers
but i'm serious, they just dropped song of the decade
If 3D Country was juvenile chaos, Getting Killed is in perfect sequence: getting old, maturing and realising we're all "breaking our own hearts from now on".
Hopefully Geese's mainstream statement on an album that will surely solidify them as one of the best indie banda of the 2020s.
Favs: Getting Killed, Au Pays du Cocaine, Taxes
Deeper and more cohesive than the debut with less hits and bangers, but overall it works amazingly well
Top 3: This Is The Killer Speaking, Inferno, Rifle
