ive not seen such a bizarre reaction to a release like ive seen to this one, its a fine ep, i really like the version of substitute. thats likely just my heart ruling my head as the original version by the who is one of my favourite childhood songs but i do genuinely feel toledo does a servicable job here and thats all i could hope for an ep of covers. seriously baffled by how badly people are seething about this one.

a ridiculously underrated album, personally not where i want the band to go, but the sound is still good and the writing (for the most part) is still sharp, people seemingly cant identify with toledo wanting to really branch out after a decade of making music in a certain way and wanting to involve his bandmates much more. 8/10
