Seeing as this is his first album, I’ll hold back on the harshness just a little bit. That being said, this album fucking blows. Aside from Never Stop, I can’t remember a single song off of it and I finished listening to it 5 minutes ago. They just all blend in together, you can’t tell anything apart because every damn song on here sounds the exact same.
Now, before I levy this next criticism, I want to say that I feel like the word “slop” has become nauseatingly ... read more
Probably Bruno’s most consistent album. All of the songs here are good, but I can’t say any of them really rival the best of Bruno’s previous albums. On My Soul is a banger though. Overall, my second favorite Bruno album after 24K Magic.
This album really is just a thirty-seven minute good mood life hack. I’m telling you, the next time you’re in a bad mood, put this on and you’ll find yourself completely, almost magically rejuvenated. Not a single song on here overstays its welcome, and none of them are skips. Every guitar riff has aged like fine wine over the unbelievable 50+ years this album’s been out for.
Favorite: All of them, but I especially like “More Than a Feeling” and ... read more
Eminem’s best album to date (hot take, I know). Also one of my personal favorite rap albums of all times.

And it’s not like the comedy’s been entirely removed either, ... read more
The Slim Shady LP needs no introduction at this point, it’s just that iconic. While it’s since been surpassed by his later efforts, it’s honestly among his most creative, and My Name is, in spite of how overplayed one could deem it, is honestly a perfect introduction to Eminem’s audacity in this album. Oh, and the skits kinda suck. Not funny, didn’t laugh.
Favorite: My Name Is, Guilty Conscience, Role Model, the “Don’t Give a Fuck” duology

If this is to be his final album, then it’s safe to say that J. Cole is not going out with a whimper, but rather a roar.
