Banger after banger, what a fucking album

I love metal way more than I love hard rock nowadays, but in the next week I have tickets to both Mammoth, 200 Stab Wounds, and Devourment, and I genuinely think I'm more excited for Mammoth. Good album!

Max Cavalera has an uncanny ability to make me feel like I am a god damn warrior. I do think I prefer groove metal Max to thrash metal Max, songs like Chama I liked better than Ghenna or Favela/Dystopia. Definitely a solid album, it met my expectations.

Fave songs: No Pain, No Power // Black Hole Scum // Chama

In my opinion, this is Ghost's finest work. I don't think they will ever truly return to this sound, but I'm glad they did in 2018.

I found this album shortly after my grandfather's Alzheimers diagnosis. In a time where I felt like I was battling time, death, and my own brain all at once, this album helped me. I miss Brent more every day.

Arguably the complete distillation of my music taste from 6 years old to now, into one album that I will carry with me for the rest of my life <3
