Danceable pop with substance. I was hoping the title track would be sexier, but it's actually mostly about making babies. Mad respect for representing who she is and where she's at, even though it's not exactly my jam.
I listened to this on the train, and the steady, pulsing beat and cosmic spoken word lyrics were a perfect accompaniment to the landscape streaming by.
Musically, it's hard to see the connection to Sun Ra for most of this, but I liked it. Reminded me of 2000-era techno, with just a bit of Sun Ra's space age free jazz mixed in on a track or two. The spoken words are pure Sun Ra.
