Bought this for only 8 dollaroos at a record store. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I liked it overall. I dig the heavy sound overall, and the songs are pretty catchy, although it's a little uninspired imo.

A wee bit too lo-fi to fully enjoy - songs often sound quiet and homogenous, and there is a constant buzzing throught - but the energy is palpable.

Definitely one of his most low-key releases, far from the weird folktronica of Hobby's or the crazy IDM on Bobbery. It's definitely a return to form to a more Songs Before Bed sound, with his signature boingy guitars, plucky bass and soft keyboards. Man of the Year came off a little try-hardy, but I feel like this strikes that balance. I love the whispy textures of that beat and the mixing just sounds a lot better here for some reason. I feel like this is the sound of Virgin, and it's reignited my excitement.
