beat begins, chorus, repeat of the chorus, beat continues for a full minute, song ends.
GAS GOONS: "ITS PEAK!!!"
Real People:
they arent there since who the fuck is listening to this.
potential album maybe, means nothing when he can't put effort into anything and the potential is for some B tier songs at best.
It's really good, i wasnt feeling it too much in the first third but every song after 'why' kept being amazing, fav is prob 'kate said'. Lotta chiptune which is cool to hear again.
oh shit so this is what Chonny Jash thinks he's doing, that makes sense. Yeah this is amazing.
I like more songs here than from season 1, but that's partly because there are more songs, and regardless, these songs are worse on average. Probably the highlights are Vox's songs, Once We Get Up There, Don't you forget reprise, VOX POPULI and VOX DEI are all just pretty great songs, musically AND in the story. But despite those, (and songs like Gravity, Losing streak, or Sera's Confession which I also think sound great, but are less great in story terms, especially ... read more
It's pretty bad, but it could be so much worse. Hell is Forever, Stayed Gone, Loser Baby, and You Didn't Know are all good songs that I enjoy listening to, and fit well in the show (advance plot, let us understand characters better, etc).
I can excuse songs like Happy Day in Hell, or Ready For This, since even if I don't like them musically, they work well in the show, but there are songs like Whatever It Takes, or Out For Love which are just terrible and don't feel good for ... read more
TPTNL: 3.5/10 its fine, sets the mood for the ep but im just not big on it
ADS: piss on the carpet/10 (real rating is prob 4/10)
Betty: 2/10
ISYWC: 4/10
TBG: 5.5/10
overall I don't really like their more mellow sort of songs, so I'm not a huge fan of this EP since thats basically the whole thing. Just not very AJR in the terms of sound, it feels more generic. The Big Goodbye is hilarious in how different it sounds from the rest of the EP, it feels like a Neotheatre sort of song, and ... read more
Amazing different version of 808s. Giving it the same rating as normal 808s just because I think they're about equal. It's fun to hear these new versions of these songs, and I will probably come back to this as a switch up from listening to normal 808s from time to time.
"can this song end already"
"why is this song still going"
and then we listened to 11 minute masterpiece DRACULA FLOW 4 as an intermission and it didnt drag on at all.
30 minute album where every song feels about twice as long as it should be.
Some songs felt like they'd be fine for like, being on the radio or something. Most felt too boring to even be fine there, so, meh.
one of these songs gave me a headache that led into me being sick, and almost miss a job interview. chonny jash tried to ruin my chances of employment...
honestly kind of a lot of good parts in a lot of the songs, easy best album so far. also Sneaking revenge is fucking hilarious, lotus juice x mori is like a joke, absolutely insane.
River is mixed fucking terribly, whats that about.
most of the songs are fine, Husband and Lifestyle make me cringe a lot. 530 and Sky City getting released is cool.
edit: oh fuck what did he do to sky city :((((
11/11/24 edit: dude he made it WORSE. more ai. how do you make it worse?!?!?!
this one wasnt real i think? we just like, group hallucinated this one when we listened to it.
Q is the hardest rap battle of all time, kendrick vs drake has nothing on Mori vs Gawr Gura. so that adds like 10 points to the album.
Despite a lyric saying "Shooting myself again" this is the album I'd be least likely to shoot myself to so far. It's just boring most of the time.
well i mean i guess shes better than she was as demondice. live again is basic and fine. dead beats has a chorus i like. not a good experience though
gave it an extra 5 because it got really loud in the bonus track while i was putting in my rating
"Fartin', pissin', and strokin' my fucking dick" hell yeah
Great, weird, enjoyable listen. Definitely experimental. Has a lot of first album experimentation vibes to it, which is fun, but mostly just makes me excited to go listen to their next albums.
