Wish the production was better but still liked the noises beep boop lol download was my fav
I listened to this album for the first time when i was 17 so there might be some bias here on account of me imprinting on this thing like crazy but honestly no album has ever understood the cold aired evening melancholic walk through barren concrete residential streets like this one. No album will come close to the feeling of seeing the last dusty brown leaves fall from the trees as your entire neightborhood turns grey like this one does, except maybe bullets by mcr. No other album captures the ... read more
Shockingly ahead of its time and def smth id listen to at da clurb. Not catchy but that's not a bad thing
idk it's fun i like it a lot i would put it on in a number of situations. not extremely memorable but does it rlly have to be?
it's great! i liked Deep more for its kind of moodier atmosphere, but this album focusing more on conventional pop-rock-y songwriting certainly isn't a flaw. I kind of wish more of the tracks were like the title track, but I can't say i'm too dissatisfied with what i got here. also i got this cd for 2 bucks so it was for sure worth it.
Listened to the version w the bonus tracks My December and High Voltage, & honestly yeah it's pretty great. I grew up hearing about linkin park almost exclusively in the context of "lame whiny bands that only idiotic depressed teenagers listen to" which kept me from giving them a proper listen for ages. That's dumb, though.
I dont care if it's trite, dude, i think that In The End has sincere lyrics that can resonate with people going through a bit of hopelessness. ... read more
More goth than i was expecting, though maybe im just saying that because the singer sounds like a cartoon dracula whos going to have an anvil dropped on his head if he doesnt bust a nut in the next 60 seconds for half the songs. (Also the obvious 80s synth influence.) Lyrically annoying, sonically extremely fun. You can tell this is a bunch of people who either would enjoy or have already enjoyed tetsuo the iron man.
I found Angel Guts to be unnecessary as an intro, it goes on for too long ... read more
fun & goofy & worth a listen if u like hyperpop but i personally think that even 3 minutes is a bit too long for hyperpop songs unless there's a real switchup somewhere in there & unfortunately some of the songs here are 4 minutes. lots of words to basically say it's good but a bit too long
listened to this during a stupid awful heat wave and it made the 37 degree celsius temperature feel alright
no idea what the critics were on about i liked this way more than Mask and it's honestly more energetic and uplifting than that album. also the year after this they dropped Burning From The Inside (an alltimer imo) so clearly they were in a stage of rapid improvement with this album.
stumbled upon it on bandcamp of all places by sheer chance and was delighted. it's fun! listen if you like coil &/or nin
i went into this hoping for some harsh noise and electronics and while i got some electronics (my fav track is probably AB/7A) and there was some fun noise (Walls of Sound) i came away really disappointed that the majority of this album was just unintelligible people-talking-in-the-other-room background noise
i actually specifically listened to the "Fierce Panda" split EP that had an early version of this song as one side and "m.e.l.t.d.o.w.n." by "Soup" as its other side but i guess for SOME reason Soup isnt on AOTY. please put this shitty british grunge band that only released one song on here posthaste.
so here is my review of m.e.l.t.d.o.w.n. by Soup: it's pretty good. i will be listening to it again.
here is my review of the version of Bruise Pristine on ... read more
