I think i would have been ok with this not being tied to wishbone, But these songs are alright.

Near flawless reinterpretations of some of the best songs off of the parent album “Good Morning Its Now Tomorrow”. Very nice listen. I would probably have preferred a different variation of another song rather than a piano instrumental of “Krakow”. But even the instrumental is nice.

Worst Song - Krakow (Unsung)
Coherent, stylistic and a bit weird at times. “ Good Morning It's Now Tomorrow” shares some of Matt’s most infectious melodies, that i really believe are some of his best, and should have gotten so much more attention than they did. “Looking” and “We Need To Talk” being two of my favourite examples. The only real doenfall is that the lyricism is quite consistently lacking. and doesn't do much to make this album as reflective and detailed as ... read more
It's been a while since I've found an album with such consistently strong music. I couldn't be happier with this album.
And also, quick comment on Raye herself. Raye is the most radiant, relatable and uplifting force in the music industry right now. And I have never felt this generically motivated in my entire life. Thank you Raye.
THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.

I haven't heard much of Lily Allen, but this album is a beautifully made album with some extremely catchy hooks and melodies. The only issue I take with it is the pacing. I feel that the album tries to be chronological in places but doesn't seem like its going for a linear story most of the time. Still an album with barely any low moments musically.

"The Hand" kicks off with a punchy rhythm and a cathartic, addictive melody, backed by some strong lyricism from Annabelle. Unfortunately, the song loses most of its pull from the bridge onwards, feeling a bit more stripped back than the lyrics seem to call for. On top of that, the vocal mix ends up getting overwhelmed by the production, which is a shame, because the vocals are easily the strongest part of the track.

Virgin has grown on me in ways I can’t entirely explain, so I haven’t reviewed it until now, but I wanted this on record as my album of the year.
This record feels like both a careless and delicate exploration of gender ambiguity, neglect, stillness, and discontent, paired with sterile, almost claustrophobically tight instrumental mixes that conceptualise a project both sonically and lyrically comparable to the necessarily invasive purpose and result of an ultrasound. There ... read more
"The life of a showgirl" follows closely in the footsteps of Taylor Swift’s greatest regression, "The Tortured Poets Department". Since "Folklore" and "Evermore", Taylor has steadily lowered the bar for herself. Not through lack of ability, but through overexertion. She’s oversaturated her market, watered down her lyricism, and given in to the idea that her music’s value lies in chart numbers rather than her fans’ genuine ... read more
The day has finally arrived: Ed Sheeran has released a good album. While nothing here is absolutely outstanding, he’s managed to create a project that actually feels creatively inspired. That’s something I haven’t felt from him since Divide. The vocals are genuinely enjoyable, and the production has a range that feels genuinely interesting.
Some people are going to hate this album for reasons surrounding Ed as a person rather than the music itself. But I think that would be a ... read more
"Breach" had an interesting and exciting run of singles before its release. It features one of Twenty One Pilots’ strongest openers, some great storytelling, and one of their most unique sounds to date. But it also comes with some of the least cohesive work, some of the most awkward hooks and melodies since "Regional at Best," and a critical lack of substance between the incredibly strong moments.
Some of these tracks include the aforementioned "City Walls" ... read more
Bar a few songs, "Hers" to me mostly feels like one singular concept for a song spread over an eleven track album. There is hardly any variation in the vocals throughout, and only on the final track "Everybody's Just As Crazy", do we get the point of interest I was hoping for. Matt has had projects in the past that have had some unique tracks, "Driving Just To Drive" is a personal favourite along with his debut album "Bad Contestant". But sadly, most ... read more
I think to take this song at anything but face value would be a disservice to what this song is trying to do. Its pretty obvious what the message behind this is and Its not meant to be a banger, its a moment. Calm down and have fun.
I think the singles for Lotus so far have been well chosen, they all bring something unique to the table and I think giving people a taste of all the different corners of this album was a smart way to manage expectations.

While these lyrics are a little strangely paced at times, this song is probably the most beautify utilised collaboration I have ever seen in the modern pop-adjacent/alt scene.

Optimist was one of my favourite albums of 2021. Though people didn't like it, I found it to be interesting and very purposeful in the ways that it showcased fineness solo talents and most importantly, his voice. And this was in ways we didn't see on his first ep. So after highly anticipating a return, when this album was announced I was really hoping for another change of pace or a unique creative direction. But in every way, this album is a regression. There are a few songs on here ... read more
After sitting with this album for a while and naturally enjoying a few more of the songs i have to say that this album Isn't "bad" for the most part. I just find that its incredibly mediocre. So much of my disliking i took towards this album comes from the old idea that Taylor was one of the only artists to change her sound after every album. Now it seems that since midnight the only thing that she and Jack Antonoff have changed between albums is how they utilise the exact same ... read more
This song is ok, don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved optimist. But honestly, I was really hoping the new era of Fineneas' music to bring a change in the production. This is the first single so we can only hope there's more but so far, I think Finneas has stayed in a relatively monotonous bubble of music, and regardless of my own liking to this bubble, I would really have liked to see a change, and I'm hoping this single is an outlier.

EDIT ---
I am here to apologise for my tone in this review. I don't know what I was so mad for. I took a couple days to relax and I've decided that this isn't as bad as I thought it was.

I got a little excited after hearing billie was on this but this song is somehow a little worse with billie. The lyrics sound like they were written by a 15 year old in 5 minutes and the instrumental is so painfully generic in the same way every song on ... read more
When this LP first released I absolutely loved it. But the longer I sit with it the more I just don't think it compares at all to billies other albums and was actually a little bit disappointing. To me, its becoming an album I don't believe will age too well. I think if this album was shortened a little and a few tracks were removed that this could have been a little closer to the level of her other albums. But in the release state I just think its bloated and feels more of a ... read more
