I'm honestly baffled on how people listen to this, let alone rating it anything above a 20. Music is subjective for the most part, but this album is objectively horrible.
Usually my reviews are long as hell and just a buncha yap, but this album is so mid that I honestly have nothing to say about it. Had some good moments like National Treasures and Make Them Cry, but that's literally about it for the positives of this album, the rest is just boring as hell, and this is just an absolute snoozefest of an album. Hey, at least there is one good thing about this album, and that is how it can make me go to sleep easily on THOSE types of nights where you ... read more
There's really not much to say about this album that hasn't already been said, honestly. This album gets really damn boring at times, and it's just a snoozefest for the most part. There's no real bad track on this album (except for Circles, god I hate that song) but basically every single track (except for very few exceptions) is boring and repetitive as hell, and honestly the whole album feels like it's just unreleased demos (including the very few tracks that are ... read more
I might be glazing a bit with this rating, and this might be a hot take, but this was honestly my favorite work from both Drug Bug AND WillyRodriguez, and easily my album of the year (so far). I loved… a lot about this album, but the highlight for me was easily the instrumentation, especially on the guitars. This album honestly has some of the best instrumentation and uses of guitars that I have heard in my whole damn life. The tracks on this album are consistently fantastic, yet they ... read more
I heard a lot about this album, but I came into it not expecting much, as I usually do with J. Cole albums, but honestly, this went way past my expectations. J. Cole has never been an album guy, I personally don't think he's ever really made an album above the 65 rating, but this album proved to me that he could make a good album if he tried. Now, usually, albums as long and with as much tracks as this would be bloated as hell, and that would ruin the album, but I feel like J. Cole ... read more
I usually really enjoy JPEG's work, and he's even my most listened artist of all time, but I feel like this album is very repetitive and even annoying at points, and due to that, I think this album was not only JPEG's first miss, but I also feel like it just ruined his great album run that has been going on since Veteran. First of all, I think most of us know about the same flow problem that has been prominent in JPEG's music since Veteran (or even longer), but I honestly ... read more
I found this album to be really good at the start, the first few tracks (like M.O.M or SUPAFICIAL) were honestly some of the best I have heard this year, but I feel like this album just gets worse and worse as it goes, and the last few tracks (like 10 STATES AWAY or SUPERPWRS) are just meh and nowhere near as good as the first half. For me, the strong points of this album were definitely the lyricism and the first half. I absolutely loved Isaiah's lyricism on this album, especially on ... read more
