incredible production as usual but that mosquito voice is unfortunately so grating, some decent songs on here and i really liked the interludes, i just wish there was a little less mosquito voice
every bridge and adlib sounds so unnatural, a lot of the production is incredibly bland, and his vocals and rapping just absolutely bore me. i just don’t think i’m a drake “guy” none of his music has ever appealed to me.
Molly Santana feature was good to see and she really deserves whatever success she gets out of it, just wish it was a little bit more than it was
pretty good but at the end of the day he is just doing a sound that has been heard before, literally a month ago
just okay for me, tiffany days vocals don’t stand out too much and some of the songs feel samey, but some good production and overall a decent album
EDIT: so yeah turns out tiffany copied literally all her stuff from fawn burke, very obviously too when you look at it, what an absolute loser of an artist
i can always appreciate experimentation, without it you’d never get any of the good music we have today, that doesn’t mean all experimentation is good and successful, and this a prime example of that
god we are so far gone, he is never touching man on the moon levels again
this was by far my most anticipated of the year but unfortunately i’m left disappointed, the production is jut as good as it’s always been but vocally and lyrically it feels like such a step down from The Peak, hopefully on a couple of re listens i’ll feel differently
James Blake has always been one of the most generic feeling artists in music today. he’s the definition of just a “guy”. never does anything to impress me and want to relisten. this is the first full album of his i’ve listened too but ive heard a large amount of his music throughout my life. i don’t think ive ever liked a james blake song, i also don’t think ive ever hated a james blake song.
didn’t really get much out of this, was looking forward to it but in the end kind of disappointed
one of the few people in rage making good, coherent music, a nice change and a good album
i thought it had a mediocre start outside of helicopter, but after NO TRESPASSING it picked up a lot more.
i thought STFU was pretty bad and even though i actually enjoyed what we got i would’ve liked more WSG
overall it’s the first good album of the year so i can’t complain too much
Long, repetitive and boring, nothing overly offensive but nothing truly good either… still somehow the best album of the year so far, i doubt that’ll last too long though
