Fauxroot on the softer, slow side doesn't dimish from the quality at all, just highlights how pretty these guitar layers can get. Dope demo that I'm excited to see developed/finished in the album.
Just incredible. Not sure I can say anything that hasn't been already said.
Also fyi I might not review every song and album of this project I'm doing cause I'm realising it's a lot more than I thought.
Thought I'd check out Fauxroot's other music cause 'Dream' was great, and this one actually happened to be one spot off the top 10 shoegaze songs of the year, because of the weighting of songs with more ratings. But it might even be better than 'Dream'! The electronic elements are super cool and actually add to the overall texture and sound, which lots of the time doesn't happen when electronics are added to rock. Awesome stuff
Holy damn I love this. It's both super pretty and really quite heavy actually which is a contrast I really like in, well just songs in general, but it's super here. Also, I love the singer's voice.
From one user-made shoegaze song to another, this one is also by a user, but it's just one person not a band. And I absolutely love this one holy moly. The beginning is so pretty and when the climax happens it was incredible. Definitely my favourite of my 2025 shoegaze song journey so far!
Just found this through the top shoegaze singles of the year, and apparently it's by a user on this site's band! It's also bloody great, that's what it is. I like the psychedelic elements they mentioned, and the slightly jazzy chords are dope. This band absolutely deserves more monthly listeners.
Wait the cool math rock Instagram guy makes awesome shoegaze now. Ok shit. I mean the intro riff of this is spine-chilling in the best way.
But his voice is a tiddly bit annoying don't sue me.
Some dope vibey shoegaze with some really cool electronic bits. Don't love the snare sound.
I was waiting in anticipation for the first song to get more shoegaze-y and then it did and damn it was pretty great lol. Second one was more straight-forwardly shoegaze and was actually incredible.
Somehow both super catchy and 'accessible' whilst being brilliantly atmospheric, dense and cathartic. Also I love the vocals on this album, with not only great melodies but both singers having a incredibly fitting voice and tone, and sounding fantastic together. A masterpiece and my favourite album.
