It’s interesting seeing as this album seems to have mixed reception when you take a look at the “popular reviews”, but the majority of people adore this album.

An absolute classic and influential hip hop album, with great lyricism and story telling.

The most underrated of the trilogy, and a beautiful album, too. At this point in his career, Kanye has proved how great he already is, but exceeds all expectations here.
Heard Em Say is a genuine piece of art that really doesn’t get the attention it deserves. The lyrics are deep and meaningful.

Every song is so much fun. Charles Hamilton is very charming here, with fun flows, and a very interesting story.
The biggest highlight here is “In Case It Doesn’t Work Out” which has a very calming piano outro. It is also the song with the best production on this mixtape.
The cover is also really funny, but it fits what the mixtape is in my opinion.

It’s basically the same thing femtanyl has been doing for a while now.

edit: I decided that I should listen and give this thing a chance even though I didn’t like the first song.
It’s still really awful, and it doesn’t improve. The whole album is loud, annoying, abrasive, and it made my ears genuinely hurt at certain points when listening.

Really great sounding stuff, and some of Kanye’s best songs ever are in here. Yet there are misses that drag the album down unfortunately.

A collection of groovy and beautiful songs that never get boring. Obviously Drunk and Hot Girls brings down the album, though.
This is also the weakest of the trilogy, which is really crazy since I’m giving this a 95.

It’s baffling some of these critic scores give the album a low ranking because of West’s political views. This is easily Kanye’s most deep thinking project with only one song that isn’t really the best (All Mine). Although All Mine is not particularly a fantastic song, Ghost Town and Violent Crimes make up for it without a doubt. Stellar production and deep lyrics that aren’t corny at all.

decided to re review this piece of art. I usually dislike long and bloated albums, but this is very different.
I think there’s three perspectives in this album meant to represent the mind set of Kanye. The Kanye that wants to focus on his family, the Kanye that wants to control his fame, and the Kanye that hungers for lust and addiction.
