i heard somewhere this was "failure manifested" and i mean, i can totally see that. this is really raw, but that's what makes this so good. i really really like this, but face to face is just better. they both manage to convey such strong emotion though, and i think that is a massive accomplishment. good shit man, good shit
amazing. such a shame it didn't make any released projects. ellies mixtape cover <3
somebody's fucked her a little bit and, my stomach churns when i think of it and
some really fast bpm shit (feels like atleast) that just gets you groovin. thats what i'm down for.
it's rough but, that's why i love it. I LOVE IT SO FUCKING MUCH AAGH I LOVE IT FUCK ANYBODY WHO HATES THIS
This album has its ups and downs, like any others. But, it's like if (metaphorically) the person building the ride had their glasses a little low, so the whole album has more downs than ups. Though, I feel there's some silver lining to it. This raw, unrefined and messy noise seems to be a descriptor of this album. The titles of the songs, the lyricism, the messy guitars, it all blends together to give a 17-day incelcore Burning-Man like hellscape. And, I mean that nicely. I like this ... read more
I would consider this the groups' "breakthrough album", as it garnered them some decent popularity. And, compared to their previous work, it makes sense. There is a big jump in how "mature" or "professional" the music sounds. It's a lot more refined than their previous works, but still featuring their usual sound style. It's relatively short, with the A sides only being ~30 minutes long. Even with that, though, they still are highly distinguishable ... read more
havent listened yet. i dream of being on a vol. 5 someday
it's cool, i guess. i'm not from the west coast, but i can respect the music here.
this is just fun music. it's not meant to be impressing anybody, it's just artists having fun in their craft. and damn, this did grow on me. i realize now that these songs aren't meant to be an installment in EITHER artists' discogarphy, but more of a demonstration of what happens when artistry comes together.
really surprised this was his biggest EP, considering they're demos. but hey, they aren't bad demos by any means! it's nice to hear this musical side instead of the rough side.
really short, but a good addition to the main. nothing sticks out too much, except for having a more muddy/unfinished sound that more coincides with ATROPHY. #Cheat 5ever
some funky catchy shit with a cover that sticks out like a sore thumb. i find myself irregularly coming back to this. good shit
nuts man, really harsh and tough to get into. i really like it, though, its muddy noise makes for a story i love to hear and would read until the end.
i found this to be comparable to JPEGMAFIA & Flume's "We Live In A Society EP" or kendrick lamar's "GNX". it didn't wow me but i lik to see tyler being hismelf.
what really blew my mind about this is that there were NO synths used on this. this guy has a talent i could only dream of. truly a beautiful work, and it was released on my birthday.
