Absolute blast from the past with an emo pop-punk chorus and the heaviest breakdown they’ve done yet, plus Jocals. Album’s gonna rip

I love the mixed bag of genres she’s been hitting so far. This is going to be a great album

Not quite as aggressive, more haunting and groove-based. I love how deeply personal it feels, even if it isn’t as confessional as Cinderella. I think continuing to lean more into the dance elements of their style over punk/industrial will pay off for them, sort of like a darker Depeche Mode. That being said, I did like how Cinderella immediately grabs you whereas this is a slower burn. Love u pookies

Easy AOTY contender. St Vincent is a wellspring of talent.

twenty one pilots - Backslide

Very self-referential. Lyrically the most dense and open to interpretation for sure, which is kinda cool. It sounds a LOT like Redecorate, which I personally liked. I appreciate that none of these singles have really sounded like each other: It feels like a combination of everything from Blurryface onward. That being said, I hope we get at least one Trench-like song on the album.

Edit: It grew on me lol. Rapping could still be a bit better though, but I honestly enjoy the chorus. Yes I know ... read more

PEARL JAM RENAISSANCE

Honestly, good for them. It’s difficult for any decades-old act to inject freshness into their music, regardless of how good they may have been before. Love you guys xoxo
