You know he's been making similar sounding music for the last few albums now, except this time I think there are a few more cool interesting melodies compared to the last album for example.
No question Ryan's best work to date. He shows that his bag is very versatile, from technical rapping to storytelling, to singing, to the instrumentation and production, this man has talent.
Its good, great to bob my head to, but idk, I dont think I'll be listening to too many of these songs outside of the album context. Still though, dont let that take away from the masterful flows, lyrics, and just overall spitting prowess that JID has.
Nice refreshing sound. Big fan of the Kalmi production here, they definitely have crafted a distinct Hanumankind type beat, which he raps well on.
This gives the same highs that come with a fully fleshed out concept album of this nature, but unlike idmthy this one feels more fun throughout, like I could put this on any time, compared to just in a certain mood. (By the way this is amazing)
Couple nice songs, but this ain't quite it chief, I applaud the effort though, keep standing on business
Kind of uninspiring, boring you could say, not terrible, but just nothing of note, nothing interesting, sounds like half volume background music at a wrestling event
The spiritual lyrical miracle kinda goes hard here, I can see why these songs didn't make the album though.
He talks about a lot of personal stuff on this, and theres lots of good storytelling content, im just not the biggest fan of the loud angry rap voice+flow he does on a lot of these songs.
Honestly his vocal performance and delivery on these songs is the best i've ever heard from him. But the songs aren't quite as memorable or catchy than his previous.
Nothing special, just run of the mill UK rap, but he does have a certain flow and technique that makes it a bit more enjoyable.
Bloated with a lot of mid filler songs, but at least he's using like 6 different voices, makes it a bit more interesting I guess.
