If you're not one for dark themes in an album this may not be for you; this is a weird folk album unashamed to be abstract and disturbing. Still, the instrumentals are charming and fit the lyrics well to create the weird and bizarre tales found in this album. It's odd, how danceable some of this music is, while also most of the time being about something horrific. I love it.
Diana immediately starts this album off with the dark tone that persists throughout it. There's a ... read more
An EP that sounds nice and has interesting effects, with some very dark themes included. Some of the effects aren't for me, some of them are. I think its length is pretty good for the style, it doesn't egregiously overstay its welcome in my opinion despite mild monotony in some songs. The popular songs are popular for a reason.
I Can't Handle Change starts the album off strong. It's upfront in how sad and wallow-y it is while still keeping a high energy, and I love the way ... read more
I love the overall vibes of this album. It's a surreal experience that feels like a jungle adventure. I think its faults lie in some of the songs sounding overall similar despite even different meanings—but in my opinion it doesn't do it too much of a disservice, I don't actively dislike the songs that run a bit too close together, I just don't listen to them as much. This album has a unique sound I wish there was more of. A good debut album, in my opinion.

It's so much more different from ZABA but in a good, distinct way, without sounding too generic most of the time and putting a spin on even themes that can easily be overdone (like relationships). This album has a sound to me that I can't find anywhere else. There's depths to the themes of these songs and even why they were made. It really feels like a different chapter of a different ... read more

I love Glass Animals, really. I have a lot of positive memories associated with this album.
But to actually rate it, there's a lot of nostalgiabait and words thrown together. It worked with ZABA to create the jungle, wild feeling, but with Dreamland it feels a bit more tossed around trying to create this sound that works only really sometimes. Still, there's a unique feeling to it that prevents me from rating it any less, because I can't say it's bad! It just tries ... read more
